Design
This brings the concept candybar smartphone with a screen area is the dominant part. On the bottom of the screen, it can be found four key pieces, namely the Call, End Call, Menu and Back. LCDs are implanted area of 3.25 inches using capacitive type TFT touchscreen 65K colors with a resolution of 360 x 480 pixels.
Operating System
Storm 9500 using OS version 4.7 platform when first released. BlackBerry uses SurePress techniques to access the on-screen menu.

Multimedia
For the entertainment sector Storm 9500 is equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash, autofocus, image stabilizer and geo-tagging. This can be recording video with the quality standard.
Interfaces and performance of music and video player application is quite good. File information is displayed properly and completely.

Internet and Connectivity
Storm 9500 supports 3G/HSDPA with access speeds reaching 7.2 Mbps. Storm 9500 has provided the ability to navigate through a digital map of BlackBerry supported internal GPS receiver or can be integrated with the service operator via the A-GPS.
To connect with other devices, there are available Bluetooth and microUSB port.
Accommodated office features, there are BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) or BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) that can access the Push Mail in real time. BlackBerry also provides access to Facebook social networking and chat via Instant Messaging (GTalk, Yahoo Messenger, AOL, Windows Live, ICQ and the BlackBerry Messenger).
